Maxim Bogdanovich

Bogdanovich lived a very short life and died of tuberculosis at the age of 25. Nevertheless, he stood at the origins of Belarusian literature and the modern literary Belarusian language.

In Minsk, the poet organized youth circles, which became the center of the social and educational life of the city. In 1913, his collection "Vyanok" was published, more than 50 poems by Bogdanovich were published in various publications, such as "Nasha Niva", "Free Belarus". Many works have been preserved in manuscripts.
